DitakNet Knowledge Base
Getting Started with DitakNet
Quick introduction to DitakNet local network monitoring, system requirements, and core concepts.
1. Overview & Architecture
DitakNet is a local-first, self-hosted network monitoring server and IT toolkit designed for home labs, office networks, and CCTV infrastructure. Unlike cloud SaaS monitors, all device metrics, logs, and topology maps remain entirely on your own hardware.
DitakNet runs locally on port 5833 and does not require an active external internet connection to monitor your local subnet.
2. System Requirements
DitakNet is lightweight and optimized for standard x86_64 and ARM64 servers, mini PCs, or NAS appliances.
yaml
- CPU: 2 Cores minimum (4 Cores recommended for 500+ nodes)
